Privacy Policy
Check Yourself · Effective February 13, 2026
The Short Version
Check Yourself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your camera feed stays on your Mac.
Camera Access
Check Yourself uses your Mac's camera to display a live mirror view. The camera feed is rendered locally and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. The camera is only active while the popover is open — closing the popover stops the camera immediately.
Data Storage
Check Yourself stores only your zoom preference locally on your device using standard macOS user defaults. No other data is saved.
Analytics & Tracking
Check Yourself contains no analytics frameworks, no ad SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no telemetry of any kind. We do not use any third-party services that collect data.
Network Usage
Check Yourself makes no network requests. The app works entirely offline. The only network activity associated with the app is through the Mac App Store for updates.
Children's Privacy
Check Yourself does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page with the new effective date. Since Check Yourself collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
