Yes, absolutely. Cycle Easy stores all data locally on your device only. There are no servers, no cloud storage, no accounts, and no way for anyone — including us — to access your information. We built the app this way intentionally because we believe menstrual health data deserves the strongest possible privacy protections.

We cannot produce data we don't have. Cycle Easy has no servers, no databases, and no user records. Your data exists only on your device. We literally cannot comply with data requests because we possess nothing to hand over. Your data is protected by your device's security and any legal protections that apply to your personal property.

HealthKit integration is completely optional and disabled by default. If you choose to enable it, Cycle Easy can write your cycle data to Apple Health — but this stays on your device, governed by Apple's privacy protections. We never see this data. You can disable HealthKit sync at any time in the app settings.

No. Cycle Easy contains zero analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or third-party SDKs. We don't track how you use the app, which features are popular, or even how many people have downloaded it. We accept this trade-off because your privacy matters more than our metrics.

From the home screen, tap "Log Period" when your period starts. You can optionally record flow intensity (light, medium, heavy). When your period ends, tap "End Period." That's it — the app handles the rest.

Predictions improve over time as the app learns your unique cycle patterns. After 2-3 cycles, most users find predictions quite accurate. Remember that cycles naturally vary, so predictions are estimates, not certainties. The more consistently you log, the better predictions become.

Cycle Easy lets you track cramps, mood, energy levels, headaches, breast tenderness, bloating, and more. Quick daily logging helps you spot patterns over time. All symptom data stays on your device like everything else.

Cycle Easy includes optional fertility window estimates, but this feature is disabled by default and must be manually enabled. Important: These estimates are for awareness only and should NOT be used for contraception. The app includes clear disclaimers about this. Always consult healthcare providers for family planning decisions.

Go to Settings → Export Data. You'll receive a JSON file containing all your cycle history, symptoms, and settings. This file is yours to keep, import elsewhere, or delete as you choose.

Go to Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently erases everything from your device. Alternatively, simply uninstalling the app will delete all data. Since there's no cloud backup, deletion is truly permanent.

If you restore your new phone from an encrypted device backup (via iTunes/Finder or iCloud), your Cycle Easy data will transfer. Otherwise, you'll start fresh on the new device. We intentionally don't offer cloud sync to protect your privacy.

Your Cycle Easy data is protected by your device's passcode and biometric security (Face ID/Touch ID). If your phone is lost, your data remains encrypted. If you didn't have a backup, the data is gone — which, from a privacy perspective, can be a feature rather than a bug.

Yes, Cycle Easy is completely free with no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no ads. We believe privacy-first period tracking should be accessible to everyone.

Cloud backup would require storing your data on servers — creating exactly the kind of centralized database we're trying to avoid. We believe the privacy benefits of local-only storage outweigh the convenience of cloud sync. Your encrypted device backups are a safer alternative.
