Privacy Policy
Hydrate - Simple Water Tracker · Effective February 15, 2026
The Short Version
Hydrate does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your water intake stays on your device.
Data Storage
All hydration data, goals, streaks, and settings are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. No data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party. There are no user accounts and no sign-up required.
Apple HealthKit
Hydrate can sync your water intake with Apple Health as dietary water data, but only if you explicitly grant permission. HealthKit data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and never leaves your device through Hydrate.
If you deny HealthKit access, the app continues to work normally — your data is simply stored within Hydrate only. You can enable or disable HealthKit sync at any time in Settings.
Analytics & Tracking
Hydrate contains no analytics frameworks, no ad SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no telemetry of any kind. We do not use any third-party services that collect data.
Network Usage
Hydrate makes no network requests. The app works entirely offline. The only network activity associated with the app is through the App Store for updates.
Notifications
If you enable hydration reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No data is sent to any server to deliver notifications.
Children's Privacy
Hydrate does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Data Deletion
When you delete the Hydrate app, all your data is permanently deleted from your device. There is no cloud backup to remove because we never had your data in the first place.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page with the new effective date. Since Hydrate collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
