Why does one person pay a cent more?
Split Easy rounds every share to the cent so the shares always add up to the total. When a bill doesn't divide evenly, the leftover cents go to the first people on the list, one each.
How do tax and tip work?
Enter tax as a rate or as the amount on the receipt. The tip is on the bill before tax by default; switch Tip on to With tax if you prefer. Set the tip new bills start with in Settings.
How do uneven splits work?
Tap a person on the bill and choose Fixed amount. They pay that amount, tax and tip included, and everyone else splits the rest evenly. You see everyone's share before you save.
Can I share results with my group?
Yes. Split Easy generates a share card image you can send through Messages, Slack, or text.
Does it save split history?
Splits are saved in-app so you can reference and review prior expenses anytime.
Can I use another currency?
Yes. Split Easy uses your region's currency until you pick another in Settings. Each split keeps the currency it was made in, with the right number of decimals.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Split Easy. The Last split widget shows what each person paid on your most recent split.
Is internet required?
No. You can calculate splits and save a split without network access.
