Privacy Policy

The Short Version

Meeting Easy does not collect any personal data. Your meetings are recorded, transcribed and summarized on your devices, and they sync only through your own iCloud account, which we can't access.

On-Device Transcription

Meeting Easy uses Apple's on-device speech recognition (SpeechAnalyzer) to turn what's said into text. The audio is processed on your device and is never sent to us or to any other server for transcription.

The first time you record in a language, your device may download Apple's speech model for it. The operating system handles that download, and it contains nothing you've recorded.

On-Device Summaries and Answers

Summaries, decisions, action items and answers to your questions are written by Apple Intelligence through Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework. Meeting Easy uses only the model on your device; it does not use Private Cloud Compute or any other server-based model.

Microphone and System Audio

Meeting Easy asks for microphone and speech recognition access the first time you record. It listens only while a meeting is recording, which you start and stop. On a Mac, it also asks to record the audio the Mac plays, so it can transcribe the other people on a call; it hears that audio only while a meeting is recording, and you can turn it off in Settings.

Calendar

If you allow calendar access, Meeting Easy reads today's events on your device to show them under Up next. When you record one, the meeting keeps the event's name and the names of the people invited. Meeting Easy never changes your calendar.

Data Storage and iCloud

Your meetings, transcripts, notes, action items, questions and, unless you turn it off, their audio are stored on your device with SwiftData. If you're signed in to iCloud, they sync to your other devices through your private iCloud database (CloudKit), which is tied to your Apple Account and which we have no access to. Deleting a meeting deletes it from all your devices. There are no user accounts and no sign-up.

Turn off Keep the audio in Settings to keep only the transcript and notes.

Recording Others

You're responsible for following the laws where you are about recording conversations. Let the people you record know, and ask them first where that's required.

Analytics & Tracking

Meeting Easy contains no analytics frameworks, no ad SDKs, no tracking pixels and no telemetry of any kind. We do not use any third-party services that collect data.

Network Usage

Meeting Easy makes no network requests to our servers or anyone else's. The only network activity associated with the app is iCloud sync to your own account, the speech model download that your device performs, and the App Store for updates.

Children's Privacy

Meeting Easy does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page with the new effective date. Since Meeting Easy collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
