Voice Easy - Private Voice Recorder · Effective February 15, 2026

The Short Version

Voice Easy does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your voice recordings and transcriptions never leave your device.

On-Device Transcription

Voice Easy uses Apple's on-device speech recognition to transcribe your recordings. This is a critical privacy feature:

  • Audio never leaves your device — transcription happens locally using Apple's on-device speech recognition engine
  • No internet required — the app works completely offline
  • No cloud processing — your voice is never sent to any server, including Apple's

When you grant speech recognition permission, Voice Easy explicitly requests on-device recognition only. Your audio data stays on your iPhone or Apple Watch.

Data Storage

All recordings, transcriptions, folders, and tags are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. No data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party. There are no user accounts and no sign-up required.

Microphone Access

Voice Easy requires microphone permission to record audio. Microphone access is used solely for recording voice memos that you initiate. The app never records in the background or accesses the microphone without your explicit action.

Analytics & Tracking

Voice Easy contains no analytics frameworks, no ad SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no telemetry of any kind. We do not use any third-party services that collect data.

Network Usage

Voice Easy makes no network requests. The app works entirely offline. The only network activity associated with the app is through the App Store for updates.

Apple Watch

The Apple Watch companion app follows the same privacy principles. Recordings made on your watch are stored locally and can sync to your iPhone using Apple's secure device-to-device communication. No data passes through external servers.

Children's Privacy

Voice Easy does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page with the new effective date. Since Voice Easy collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
