How do I play with friends?
Everyone needs Feathers on their own iPhone, in the same room, with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on. One player taps Host. Everyone else taps Join and picks that table. Friends fill your partner's chair first, then the two across, and you can move them before you tap Deal. No internet or account is needed.
My friend's phone can't find the table.
Check that both phones have Wi-Fi or Bluetooth turned on, and that Feathers is allowed to use the local network: Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network › Feathers. Keep Feathers open on both phones while joining.
What if fewer than four people are playing?
Empty chairs get an AI bird. If someone's phone drops out mid-game, a bird takes over their cards so the hand can finish.
What do High and Low mean?
After naming trump, the bid winner calls High or Low for the whole hand. High: 1, 14, 13 and down to 5 win. Low: 1, 5, 6 and up to 14 win. The 1 always tops its color either way, and the Bird is always the top trump.
How does shooting the moon work?
Instead of a number, bid the moon. You and your partner must take all ten tricks. Make it and you win the game on the spot. Miss even one and your team loses 360 points. It's meant to be rare.
How do I restore my purchases?
Purchases are one-time and tied to your Apple Account. On a new phone, or after reinstalling, go to Settings › Purchases in Feathers and tap Restore Purchases. It's also at the bottom of Your style. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought them with. Purchases are shared with Family Sharing.
How do I change my bird or my deck?
Tap Your style on the home screen (it's also in Settings › Purchases). Pick your bird's color for free, then a skin and a deck. Two skins are earned by playing: the Moon crown for making a moon, and the Gold medal for winning 10 games. Friends at your table see your bird's outfit. Your deck shows only on your phone.
What can I buy?
Nothing you buy helps you win. The Party Pack (party hat, crown, top hat, bow tie) and the Adventure Pack (pirate hat, wizard hat, goggles, shades) are $1.99 each. The Midnight, Garden and Diner decks are $1.99 each, each a card face and a matching back; Classic is free. Mix & Match, $0.99, lets you pair any face you own with any back you own. The Harvest deck is $1.99. The Felt Collection is $1.99, Celebrations $0.99, Rules & Rivals (house rules and sharper AI birds) $2.99, Table Talk $0.99, Stats Pro $1.99 and the Crew Closet $0.99. Lifetime, $12.99, is everything now and everything we add later. Tips of $0.99, $2.99 or $4.99 unlock nothing but earn a golden supporter feather, and our thanks.
Can I play a shorter game?
Yes. In Settings, choose to play to 300 instead of 500. You can also change how fast the AI birds play, and turn point badges, sound and haptics on or off.
Are my games saved anywhere?
Only on your phone. Your games, history and settings are never sent anywhere, and there's no account.
How much does it cost?
Feathers is free to play, with every rule, every mode, and friends or AI. Bird skins and deck styles are optional one-time purchases, just for looks. No ads, no subscriptions, no coins, no timers.
